Project Vida provides low cost health care through:
- Three Clinics that offer primary care including family planning, behavioral health, wellness exams, laboratory, medicines and referrals for 10,000 persons a year. (Select a clinic below for map.)

- Low cost pharmaceuticals to its patients through a special purchasing contract
- Alternatives to unnecessary emergency visits
- Home visits to families with newborn infants
- Counseling and behavioral health services
- Preventative health care via onsite health educator who visits homes in the neighborhood
- Ongoing Testing and support for Diabetic and Hypertension patients
- Weekly aerobics classes
- A family planning program which offers counseling and different birth control methods.
- Dental Clinic Available
Project Vida is a Community Health non-profit organization. Although we are a non-profit clinic, we are not able to provide free services.
Project Vida Dental Services offers a sliding scale discount based on patients' income and family size. Payment is expected at the time of service.
Please call 915-313-9908 for an appointment to register with the Dental Clinic. Registration will determine the discount.
The following items are needed to register with Dental Services:
- Proof of Income
- Proof of Residency (i.e. A Bill)
- Drivers' License or Other State Issued Picture ID

Education
Education is central to Project Vida's work. Today it provides to the areas it serves:
Newborn to 5 Years of Age
- Early Childhood Development program for 0-5 years of age. Licensed child care center for children ages newborn to 5 years old. Four Stars rating from the Texas Rising Stars.( Cost according to family income.)
Six to 12 Years of Age
- Latch Key after school program. Licensed child care center for school age children 6 years to 12 years. Four Stars from the Texas Rising Stars Program. (Cost according to family income.)
Six to 18 Years of Age
- After School Enrichment Program and Youth Recreation and Gang Prevention program. Open to children and youth ages 6 to 18 years old. No cost. Children & Youth are provided with a safe haven where they access : computers, tutors for homework, a reading program, art classes, crafts and games, field trips and time for community services.
- Parenting Classes
- GED Classes via El Paso Community College

Economic Development
To Provide and Serve the microenterprises on the city of El Paso.
- A micro-enterprise is asmall business with 5 employees or less including the owner.
- A Micro-enterprise Team that visits and follows up on each of the businesses in the area to serve and evaluate their needs.
- Monthly meetings with different topics, fiancial statements, business plans, seminars and technical assistance in any aspect of a small microenterprise.
- Access to Loans for Small Businesses through partnerships with banks and various organizations.
- On Site Credit Union that is actively used by Project Vida participants.
- A Christmas savings program that permits participants to save money for the holidays.

Housing
Due to the need for low income housing, Project Vida has built and maintains:
- 102 Low Cost Apartments with 2 and 3 Bedrooms. Gas & Water are provided to each apartment.
- Roots & Wings Transitional Living Center for homeless single parent families. These apartments are available for up to 18 months, allowing time for a family to become self reliant.
